What is the NDIS Certification Audit:

The NDIS Certification audit is designed for providers offering higher risk or more complex supports. These providers are required to satisfy the criteria outlined in the:

  • Core Module, Medication Management, Waste Management
  • Supplementary Modules (1, 2, 2a, 3, 3a, 4 and 5)

Unregistered Providers: refers to service providers who have not completed the formal registration process with the NDIS. The NDIS is a government initiative that provides support and services to individuals with disabilities.

Registered providers: refers to service providers who have undergone a thorough assessment process to ensure they meet the required standards and comply with the NDIS Practice Standards and Quality Indicators. They are authorised to deliver services and claim payments for the supports they provide to NDIS participants.

Depending on the types of supports offered, providers may need to adhere to specific supplementary modules, specific to the supports they offer.

The certification audit involves a thorough examination, incorporating document reviews, site visits, and interviews with both NDIS workers and participants. This comprehensive process ensures that providers meet the necessary standards and requirements for delivering specialised and higher-risk supports under the National Disability Insurance Scheme.
